what in particular makes you think he realized his mistake?

The way he uses phrases like “postmodernism” or “cultural Marxism” strikes me as someone who was simply grasping some ready-made categories and didnt think too much about the details (that is to say, he’s thinking in cliches). His use of the term “neo-Marxism” kinda feels like he’s trying to put up some amount of padding in between how he uses the term “Marxism” and what “Marxism” actually means and thus is somewhat aware that there is a disconnect between the two. Like he doesnt seem go just go in with the blind recklessness to make statements that have relation to facts like people that do Frankfurt School conspiracy theories, Peterson seems to want to keep the “boogeyman” a bit more anonymous

I hate this question because by all logical means it should be peanut butter (for ease of making) or egg and bacon with assorted spices on top (for completeness and taste) as dictated by my nutritional demands, and you know this.

If I am to be more creative than that I'm probably just going with what I love to have while high: mayonnaise, tuna, pickle (I will not accept constructive criticism).

If I had time to prepare I'd probably ask if it was worth it to keep going — this is currently a working assumption rather than something I have faith in — but if this was a sudden thing I'd probably just drop the spaghetti and ask me if anything ever ended up happening between me and ---.

there’s a few different answers to this but basically

1. my favorite thing to would be eating good food. a nice meal, ideally at the restaurant, is one of very things in the world i actually feel pleasure from

2. idk if it can count as a hobby but i’d say i dabble in film appreciation. i try to watch a decent amount of movie and think/read about them. at this point i’m fairly proud of my watched collection (which y’all can see on my letterboxd! im vivja on there) and i love talking about movies i like and/or hate. unfortunately watching movies requires a lot of focus/energy for me so i don’t do it as much as i would want to.

4. A film you could watch on repeat for the rest of your life?

If I were to answer this question literally I'd say Drive because it has a decently engaging soundtrack and has a few lines that never fail to make me laff

In terms of films that I would enjoy watching very often, probably Die bitteren Tränen der Petra von Kant. It's a very slow and methodical film, with tons of very small cues in terms of its acting. It also plays with the medium in a way— its director was primarily into theatre and as a result most of the film has very little cuts in it, and the few cuts that are present are very purposeful and change the scene almost completely. Every time I watch it there's another subtle use of the medium that I spot that adds to it in the way that only film used in this way could.

Also, when it comes to the films about white cis women throwing tantrums, it's better than Gone Girl and Hereditary and Midsommar put together. 😌

Lola Rennt is similar in the sense that to people who aren't me it'll probably take multiple watches to build a coherent theory about what's going on, but also because it's a film about time loops there is also a wealth of details to pick up with interesting thematic cohesion between the different parts of the film.

I don't think most films actually have added value upon rewatches, but these two do.

11. Your favourite movie genre?

Drama probably still has a special spot for me. There are a lot of boring ways to do drama in films, but through answering the rest of these asks I am really coming to realise that there is a variety of stories to tell and how to tell them in a way that seems absent in a lot of other genres. Even when other films have dramatic elements, these tend to be overshadowed by other aspects of the genre they're blended with, in particular when it comes to action films due to the extremely strong convention on how to portray action that we've arrived at. But perhaps someone will do something more interesting sometime?

The one exception I'd probably maintain is Alien.

12. A movie that holds a special place in your heart?
