An introduction to our campaign: RACE for equality
Our campaign title, RACE for equality is a play on the word “race”, the title refers to our aim, which is to strive towards the equality amongst all races.
Through this campaign, we hope to raise awareness about racism, and the ways in which some minority groups have been, and are still currently being discriminated.
First, we will be tackling some common concepts surrounding and related to racism, and what they mean for disenfranchised minority races. Then, we will be going more in-depth into the Black Lives Matter movement, racial discrimination issues surrounding African-Americans and more, in hopes of raising social awareness for the movement, and to let people understand the reasons for the necessity and importance of this cause.
We will then be tackling the overarching issue of racial discrimination in the workplace as we feel that this is an extremely serious issue that needs to be brought more attention. We strongly believe the fight for equitable workplace decisions made without discrimination against minority races is one that should garner growing traction in the coming years.
Furthermore, we will be tackling racial discrimination against Asians in situations whereby they are often the minority race (i.e. America, the UK, and Australia). We will be discussing the issues and reasons for the types of discrimination they face, and evaluate the systemic and highly stereotypical mindsets that cause such problems to arise for this particular racial community.
Through our posts, we hope to advocate for racial equality :)
