Some facts to ruminate on: 1) The more things change, the more things stay the same. There has been progress, but nowhere near enough of it. We still have too long a way to go. 2) There has been 400 years of human rights abuses and systemic racism on this continent and in this country. 3) It's only been a little over fifty years since Black people have been granted equal rights all across the board. 4) Lynching of Black people is still happening. They're just aren't using ropes and trees. (Although several Black men were hung recently and the coroners classified the deaths as suicides. Lies!) 5.) We are still having to march, protest, boycott, tear shit up in order to be heard and to be seen as humans. 6) Turning the other cheek or taking the high road... IS. NOT. FREAKING. WORKING!! We are fawking TIRED!!
