New digs for the young ladies, hung & leveled. Still a little swingy, but Iris & Jessamine don't seem to mind, and I've got a plan to stabilize them. Bluebell is still up on blocks until I decide where to put her new cage.

Happy place π
87 degrees in the barn. Everybody's chilling.
Finally got the lattice put up on the rabbit barn today! It's to give them just a little more shade in the afternoons/evenings.
I'll still probably add some plants for another layer. We're discussing climbing roses close to the structure, and/or a willow hedge set back a few feet.
It's rained over two inches in the last 18 hours. I wonder how the new rabbit barn floor is holding up?

We are FIXING THE RABBIT BARN DRAINAGE PROBLEM today, goddamnit. Dug out all the slop, and lowered the base level of the whole area about five inches. Now we're filling it with recycled concrete screenings, and tamping it down in layers. We can't actually finish today, bc the demolition place is closed on Sundays and we need one, maybe two more loads of the concrete, but oh man am I glad we're finally getting this done. It's so much better already. This process is turning out a lot cheaper than I had feared (assuming this works, of course).
Not bad, actually! I'm glad it rained this much so I could see where we need to build it up a little more. A few low spots here and there, and the uphill end would benefit from a little berm to keep water from the yard from running in when it rains hard. There was standing water on many places around the yard, and not very much here. Hooray!
Mmm yeah, that evening light
