Originally, I used to happily ship Skull and Reborn and to some extent I still do. However, one person pointed out a good issue with the pairing and that’s the fact that Reborn was awful and abusive to Skull as hell in canon. I imagine that since Skull is a Black here, he would have too much self confidence to even think about getting together with someone who constantly beat him and demeaned him. Even if Reborn was basically pulling his pigtails, I would still imagine Skull to just laugh at Reborn’s face if Reborn asks him out. So either Reborn will have to do a lot of sucking up to Skull to make up for his horrible attitude or Skull can stay happily single or choose someone else (I usually default to Fon for some reason).
True enough - certainly Narcissa would make certain Reborn did some serious sucking up before even thinking of giving her approval (which, to Skull, would mean a lot) if Skull himself didn't.
Honestly? Is see - in this 'verse at least - Skull as, maybe not asexual, but aromantic? That he spent the majority of his teen years - when not running away from whatever monster he created or exploring the wonders of muggle transportation/literature/music/movies/piercings/tattoos/tech (basically ALL the muggle things are things he's fascinated in) - he spent watching from the sidelines as hormones hit his year mates and how sometimes things kind of just imploded.
And was just "Nope. I got enough problems, not going to deal with that." and just avoid romance of any kind.
