I actually really want to recommend a Scratch-n-Sniff modus, since plague doctors believed infection was caused by infected air and usually stuffed their beaks with lavender and the like to protect themselves!

Dislikes: Being touched, uncleanliness;

Bio: About as average a troll as one could get, minus his strong fear of germs and illness. When he was young he found a cache of his Ancestor’s items, sparking an interest in medicine and an urge to follow in his Ancestor’s shoes (just about literally, as he does indeed wear the boots that his Ancestor wore). He also took to wearing the mask he found, sometimes creeping around the forests near his hive looking for injured trolls to ‘treat’ (ususally involving inane methods of treatment).

Okay, sounds pretty good.

Personality: Polite, but as with most any trolls is prone to his own bouts of volatility and sarcasm. He also has a tendency to lie, and is very much ‘germophobic’. Likes improvising and does not care too much about caste.

Hrm. I wonder why the “tendency to lie” bit? And YES the “doesn’t care about caste” bit is, I assume, a reference to the fact that plague doctors treated the rich and the poor and everyone in between?

Lusus/Kernelsprite: Corviddad- a large crow-grackle hybrid, about twice Zairae’s current size. Has a tendency to peck at him and ‘preen’ his hair, clothes, etc.

Blood Color: Mummy Brown/Caput Mortuum (*a pigment made from ground mummies.)

Oh dear. I just checked the pigment you used in your picture and it would put him a notch above Feferi! I did, however, find another color titled “Mummy Brown/Caput Mortuum” that would nest him comfortably in the brownblood caste.

Psychics/Powers: None Known (feel free to suggest some, I don’t think he needs one but why not?)

Not really, but I feel like maybe psychometry would be a good one? It would be like obtaining a patient file as soon as he touched the patient.

Hive: An average hive for one of his caste.

Outfit: A black, not-very-loose but thick long-sleeved shirt with his symbol, large blood-colored scarf, tighter pants in a very dark color of his blood. Heeled boots; often found wearing a doctor ‘beak mask’.

Cool. I may just build you a sprite from the ground-up and critique from there.

Other: Very sensitive to smell and aroma, may or may not have an illness linked to his ancestor. Has a phobia of germs/illness.

??? What illness? I do want to know more about this ancestor.

Anyway, here’s the sprite I made, unchanged from your initial drawing. In case you don’t like the changes I made to your troll, you can always grab these ones and be on your way.

Now I’m going to review the sprite I just made, thus rendering this the single most masturbatory fantroll-purgatory post in the history of this blog.

I know you asked for a change in the hair, but it honestly looked just fine when I looked at it! It is distinct from both Karkat’s and John’s.

Symbol – I changed it to a variant of the Latin cross, which also is closely associated with death. This obviously meant the horns had to change, too.

The rest is just your basic palette swap. I even did another new sprite with the mask:
