Battered, bruised, scattered, Wind torn sails, battered hulls, Blown apart, uprooted and rain spattered, Out of it shall we rise and regather.

Measured & Weighed

I can’t breathe, every breath weighed and measured. Sleep, no longer a sanctuary, But a canvas of dreams, Painted in hues of fear, and shades of anxiety.

Heavy hearts, broken parts, No more resets, no more restart, Not enough adhesive to bind them together, Or, to stop them from falling apart.

Warrior

Hope so broken, so tattered, Dreams stifled and shattered, Yet here I stand, bloodied and battered An eternal reminder that, you, never mattered.

All that praise, all that cheer, All those accolades, pulled off with such grace and aplomb; In the blink of an eye, all gone, Now I'm left blinking, staring and withdrawn.
