Soooo... it's 4 in the morning where I am, the sun isn't even up yet.

But I'm harshly resisting the urge to send this picture to my mom and gush about the quilt I'm making and how well I think it's going! She gave me all her sewing stuff so I could even learn to sew.

I'm making the quilt for my new baby cousin, James. He is my grandparents only other grandchild. Sadly my Nana never got to meet him. But I've been learning to sew and I got excited to make him a quilt because my Nana had 2 quilts, one of which she used all the time and I am now repairing because it is falling apart with age and love. She said my great grandmother made it for her when she was a baby and it gave her a lot of comfort during sleepless nights.

So now I want to handmake a quilt for baby James. I'm thinking of embroidering a patch to put on the back of it and somehow include our Nana in it.
