I’m using six colours in the piecing, which should make it 92”x109” (unless I mess with the pattern even more and take one of the rows out completely) which will technically be a king size LOL The seventh colour pink is gonna be used on the binding so I get to use alllll the colours we had in stock in the shop 🎉

Mike&Ike was rehomed to me at nine months old in Oct. His first dad unexpectedly got very sick, very suddenly and he had to find Mike a new home because he was going into hospice.

And I reached out to Mike’s dad after putting a deposit down on Jelly Bean, who had just been born.

Because I was stupid enough to keep looking at available dogs after choosing Jelly Bean. Originally I was only going to get one!

Anyway. Today I’m driving to GS to pick up nine week old Jelly Bean, then going to GP to visit some family and then come home. Mike is coming with me ofc.

But now they have a shared “Welcome Home” quilt 💖💖💖

This is Mike&Ike. He is half shih tzu, half yorkie:

And this is the baby, Jelly Bean. She is three quarters shih tzu and one quarter toy australian shepard:

I was asked for a table runner in brown tones that looked somewhat like a pickleball court. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

Irish Chain variation by Donna Jordan. I’m adding a border, which means this sucker is gonna be a big king at 106x112.

Simple pattern again, very easy to get done in a few hours after I finished work for the day.

Made this one a touch smaller then the other one, and I think I like it better this way. Less waste of fabric too.

Turned out 63” by 72”, which is a nice couch throw. I used seven different prints and a off white/beige for the background and I’m thinking that I might quilt it in gold thread.

Or maybe beige.

… or maybe blue if I really want the quilting to stand out on the outside border. Idk. We’ll see when I get it on the long arm and do a thread audition.

I wanted to try using some bold colours and this definitely looks dramatic.

I love the pattern and will most likely do it again, but I don’t think I’ll go quite this bright again lmao

Honestly though, the middle four green floral squares of each star is where I pulled the other colours from, so it’s not like I went colour blind in my stash 😂

Quilt top for a table runner. Made this with my free time at the quilt shop I work at. I really enjoy variegated fabric, but it’s hard to find something to use them in sometimes.
