The Essex Linen is ‘La Femme Deco Vines’ by @MelissaCrowleySF for @RobertKaufman and the binding is Kona Solid – Robin Egg. I made the quilt for my daughter to take to uni with her but in the end it was too heavy to package up. The back of a quilt is often a tiny piece of artwork in it self. The backing on a quilt isn’t what people focus on. Often there is a backing that could easily be a quilt top and deserves the focus just as much, no matter how simple. Sometimes I think we focus too much on the obvious “pieces of artwork” in our lives. The “backings” that support us are just as deserving of our attention! . Sometimes I get caught up in cleaning and organizing that I forget to just spend time with my kids. Today I have decided to NOT worry about how my house appears. But focus on play!
