What an awful realization you should never have had to come to, especially in a fannish space you were finally feeling good about again. Iâm sending you all of my love. Youâre a lioness for being able to share this.
Thank you Gina <333 at least I've figured another thing out about myself, that's something? Helps a bit to know I'm not just overreacting but actually having an anxiety attack, at least that I know how to fight. x___x You're the best <3

Oh my god. Thatâs horrible and it makes me so damn sad that people would do that to you (or anyone!). Totally agree that women should stick together. Itâs brave of you to share this with us. Sending you love!!! <3
Thank you angel! I will take that love for sure. The more I learn about feminism the clearer it becomes how insidious so much stuff is and the more determined I feel to point that out even if people resist. Women should absolutely stick together, there's too much shit out there for us to not have each other's backs, you know? <3Â

this gutted me. ): the internet is a shitty place a lot of the time and bad people tend to be the loudest. youâre talented and so sweet and you didnât deserve any of that bullshit! and youâre very brave for posting this. (:Â
That's incredibly kind of you to say, thank you darling <3 the worst of it was awhile ago now but man, I get back in that mindset and it just crushes me all over again. x___x Thank you for being so nice :-*

<333333!!! Man so much of this stuff happened back in the Green Valley Pkwy apartment days, it was so helpful having you there to be righteously outraged with me and on my behalf. Thanks again pal xxx

quietplains replied to your post:Soz but Posey wasn't talking about the gay aspect of Sterek being disgusting. He was talking about how it'd be a pretty unhealthy relationship in general, and Sterek fans tend to focus on TWO WHITE (PRESUMABLY STRAIGHT) guys instead of THE ACTUAL POC MAIN CHARACTER, or really even the show itself. Posey's disgust is justified.
aaaand hereâs what I was talking about last night when I said fandom itself was as shaming and dismissive of sterek fans as anyone. I hope anon sends you those clarifying statements since I super bet they exist!
Yeaaaah. x___x Fans hating on other fans is my least favorite thing!!!!
Rules:Â
Rule 1: Always post the rules.
Rule 2: Answer the questions the person who tagged you has written and write 11 new ones.
Rule 3: Tag 11 new people and link them to your post.
Rule 4: Let them know youâve tagged them.
1.) How soon into a kiss do you like to get tongue involved? Pretty soon, though it depends on the vibe/situation! If it's not happening as quickly as I like then usually I just get a hand in his/her hair and tug a bit so they'll open up for me.
2.) Describe a typical outfit, including where you probably purchased the pieces of it from. Donât forget shoes! If I'm going out on a date or like out running around for the day, I'm usually in a dress, probably vintage from an antique shop or secondhand clothing store, and either my ancient black knee high boots from the GAP or my rose-stitched Docs, heels if it's a date. But lately since it's winter I'm more boring, so jeans - I bought a really expensive pair that I was dying over like three years ago, and I was like I can never buy jeans again after this and so I actually haven't - that I've had for ages, and a sweater, probably secondhand because I hate spending money on sweaters because fuck cold weather. Then my trusty hunter green New Balance 574s. (If it's summer, then I'm probably in a crop top and shorts.) Â
3.) Do you want kids, why or why not? Hmm no not really! Just not my scene I guess. I could be convinced but the other person would have to be super rich so our kid would never want for anything. Not here for cursing the next generation with student loans tbh.Â
4.) Whatâs a thing/inside joke specific to your family? I feel like there are a ton of things but I can't think of any of them right now?? I guess whenever we need a passcode for something (i.e. only numbers) we all use the same one that I came up with for our first automatic garage door opener, and it's stuck because it's easy to remember.Â
5.) If you could force one of your favorite authors to write your dream piece of fanfic, what would it be about? I would make Mikaella write a massively long Nick/Harry story. Like a 60k epic canon-compliant thing tracking their entire relationship. *_____*Â
6.) How many times do you typically watch something you enjoy? (Like the Journeyâs End kiss, etc.) When Willow and Xander first kissed in the season three Buffy episode Homecoming, I rewatched that kiss so many times that the tape got corrupted and my mom took it in to get it fixed for me. But these days I don't tend to get that crazy invested in canon couples so there isn't much that gets rewatches like that. Though the Dan/Blair arc on Gossip Girl got some starry-eyed replays. Actually I was totally lying before, I was bonkers invested in that pairing. FU GG. :(
7.) Whatâs your internet bookmarking style? Currently it's wretched, I've got my bookmarks bar with the essentials, a folder for porn sites and favorite videos, and then just Other Bookmarks. Haha worst archivist.
8.) You have to go back in time to give the you of five years ago one very specific piece of advice, what is it? Don't say anything negative publicly!!!!! Talk to your friends or keep it to yourself. Just because you're miserable doesn't mean you have to infect the fandom with your bad vibes, nobody needs that shit.Â
9.) A celebrity that you like that you know is definitely married tries to make out with you, what do you do? Make out with them tbh, I don't know the full story about their life circumstances and how they conduct their marriage and I like kissin'. ¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
10.) How did you find your way into fanfiction reading? I was looking up Buffy fansites and eventually stumbled on one that featured fic and it totally fucking blew my mind that you could take these characters and write stories about them, like WHAT, OMG GAMECHANGER. Then I read a whoooooole lot of Buffy porn, mostly any het Willow pairing. Haven't looked back since.Â
11.) Say something nice about the person whose post is first on your dash right now. That would be Karen otfivedirection, she's super chill and I really dig that about her! She's one of the people I've been following for ages who I suspect actually hates Nick Grimshaw yet she still follows me, so mad respect for that, homie. /high-five
Questions for you guys! Do this anyway even if I didn't tag you. I mean if you want. Pls. *nosy* :D
1. What other fandoms have you been in?
2. Do you write fanfiction?
3. What's something you really love about your main fandom?
4. What are you looking forward to in 2013?
5. What's your ideal birthday celebration?
6. What were you doing five years ago, and do you think you've changed a lot since then?
7. What's your favorite alcoholic beverage, or favorite food if you don't drink?
8. What's your favorite type of story to read (AU, longfic, angsty things, etc.)?
9. Are you in or interested in a romantic relationship right now, why or why not?
10. What's your favorite book?
11. Say something nice about the person whose post is first on your dash right now.Â
2. Drunken story time...GO: The first time I got drunk it was with some older friends in New York, at Jack and Mike's apartment on Union Square. I had pointedly Not Drank before then, and when I had a sip of someone's drink my friends were enthused and decided to make me things. The big winner was the Madras. I ended up very, very pleasantly drunk, and I very insistently dragged Novi and Rachel down onto Jack's bed to spoon me, one in front and one in back. True cuddlebunny life. \o/Â

You started that Harry Styles/Dylan O'Brien fic just to destroy me, y/n? AND YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED IT YET BECAUSE THE TASTE OF MY TORTURED, DESPAIRING ANTICIPATION IS SO VERY DELICIOUS, Y/Y/Y???
shh here's the first scene okay I swear I'm w o r k i n g on it
âI am so, so sorry, dude,â was maybe on the list of Dylanâs opening lines for when he finally met Harry Styles, but honestly it was way at the bottom, and part of a meet-cute scenario that went better in Dylanâs head, and didnât actually involve a cup full of hot tea spilled all over Harryâs shirt as they literally ran into each other when turning a corner. So this has already gone badly. âHi,â Dylan says weakly, sort of ineffectually dabbing his napkin over Harryâs t-shirt as Harry gasps in pain over the whole Dylan-giving-him-third-degree-burns-via-Earl-Grey situation.Â
âItâs fine, itâs alright,â Harry says, taking Dylanâs hands in his and carefully pushing them away. He blinks down at his shirt, pulling it away from his body. Then he takes it off.Â
Dylanâs teacup is lying on the ground already, which is good because his fingers no longer seem to work. The muscles in Harryâs back ripple with movement. Harryâs wearing Calvin Klein underwear. Thereâs a red flush to his chest, where Dylanâs tea disagreed with his skin.
âHey, my eyes are up here, you know,â Harry says. Heâs grinning a bit when Dylan snaps his head up to look at his face. Dylan stares at his face instead. âDylan, right?â
âYeah,â Dylan says. He swallows. âYeah, thatâs me, Dylan is me. Sorry for,â he starts, but he canât really choose what heâs the sorriest for, so, âthis,â he finishes, gesturing to Harryâs chest, Harryâs shirt balled up in his hand, the teacup on the floor, his own body, his own face. Itâs all bad. It all was a mistake.
âDonât worry about it,â says Harry, and slings an arm around Dylanâs shoulders like thatâs a thing you do to someone youâve just met when youâre not wearing a shirt. âWalk with me back to wardrobe so I can get a replacement.â
Ooh asking questions I can't give depressing answers to! I love you, nicely done.
3 things I love: my cat Klaus, my little fuzzy princess! Fandom, and participating in it, connecting with my fellow fandomers and bonding over the people we care a whole lot about. And making people laugh, that's a wonderful feeling!
My favorite movies: Breakfast At Tiffany's, Army of Darkness, Go, 2012 (come at me, I like watching apocalypse-y things), basically anything Sofia Coppola or Baz Luhrmann directs.Â
3 things that make me happy: spending time with my best friends, hearing positive feedback about my writing (whether that's LJ comments/Tumblr messages or during writing group on Sundays), scoring really good buys when I'm shopping for vintage clothes (and antiquing in general).Â
