Need Trucy and Klavier to have a long, long, longgggg discussion about grief
Revolutionary girl utena 🤝🏾 perfect blue
Nonfans and people who barely understand the source material and its themes projecting its aesthetics on their blorbos
And take note of how both of these deal with rape and misogyny. And for rgu specifically, the topic of racism

Idk Kris Anthy just makes more sense because of the racial aspect of how everyone treats them. Everyone in this fandom defaults to seeing them as white but when their skin tone is left as ambiguous (while Charas isn't) (though they could easily be nonwhite as well) and when theres a clear separation between them and everyone else in town. Like. Idk. Its not the only reason why I strongly believe Kris is undeniably the most Anthyful, I feel like racism is a theme in rgu that everyone forgets
With the stereotypes in rhe body swap episode and the colorism + texturism in the movie,, it becomes more and more clear that the way racism, misogyny, and power imbalance intersects in rgu is an unintentional narrative. Not that it isn't there, because it obviously is. But at the same time,, the same people who write the way Anthy, a south asian girl with dark brown skin, is more heavily criticized, beaten, and raped compared to her pale skinned peers, are the same people who other, exoticize, and water down her appearance and culture. If the intersectional narrative were intentional and worthy of giving the writers and designers any praise over, then these errors would not be present
