A rose grows

From bud to fully bloomed

A furry bee pollinates

Someone comes along and pricks their fingerprint on a thorn on the thick stem

Then pink begins to brown

Each petal falls

They become ground into the garden dirt

Where a new rose bush is eventually planted

The passage of time as perceived by a human.

 A rose is in a vase sitting on a table with a light blue tablecloth

A ray of sunlight lights up the front of the petals.

The ray doesn’t move

The rose doesn’t brown

The tablecloth stays in the same place

Is there such a plane where nothing changes?

Static, still water?

If no progression or regression exists?

Then what is existence?

Would the thoughts change even in an unchanged environment?

Would the experience change?

Or would one thought extend on forever?

Simultaneously forever and only for a moment

Without time,

How would it feel to be human?

Would we feel freer?

Would we be freer?

Or would we simply be

Stale perfection?
