hewwo, cogito volo and sentio!! you asked me about love !! like the previous responder, im also aromantc, so my perception of love def differs from the norm . but, to answer your questions :
to me, its like.. if something makes me happy, its hard to say that i dont love it. my mutuals, my friends, my cats, my hobbies and such! i love it all !! for a long time, i thought that hapiness and love just werent for me. so, now when i feel love, i hold onto that feeling with all my might !!!! its a feeling i cherish greatly. its not always happy, its hard to admit when something/someone you love is bad for you, but its always been worth it, in my experience. i still have wonderful memories to look back on, after all!
also volo u asked why someone would want love - i think, whether you mean to love or be loved, the answers the same, and thats that it feels good ! but theres a lot of people that dont want love, which doesnt necessarily mean that theyre unhappy, maybe they just have other ways of expressing their joy :)
in short. i am building a house ot of bricks and the bricks are love. and i am throwing a brick at each one of you (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ) sorry if this answer was too long, i love yapping >_<
Your answer is enlightening, thank you. Do not apologize for your long answer, they are greatly helpful. I see now that love and happiness isn't mutually exclusive, and that in a way, can be one of the same. That whatever brings one happiness, causes one to love and deeply cherish it as well.
I was not aware that something you love can be bad for you. Isn't it all suppose to be good? How can it be bad for anyone?
Thank you for answering my question, Penguin. I'm starting to understand through the past answers why it would feel good. Just how good can it get? Can it be so good that it defeats every bad in ones life?
And thank you for stating other perspective on love. We are starting to understand that even if your world looks like its centered around the concept love, does not mean that everyone shares the same sentiment.
Haha! Love bricks is a funny concept, thank you for throwing some at us! Honestly, building a home out of everything you love sounds like a lovely idea, I feel one would be happy everyday. I thought love was purely based on actions or feelings towards another person, but I see now that you can also love something you do!
Whenever I take a peek at your world, I find happiness in all the waving colors of emotions that I see flowing and scattering around. I suppose in the same matter, I love seeing —
Sentio, enough. Thank you again, Penguin. We have perhaps gone a little too long with our response. We hope to see you again.
