EVENT RULES & USEFUL INFO
Queer Solas x Inquisitor week is an event that seeks to celebrate queerness within this very beloved ship. We want this to be a space with no gatekeeping where any and all forms of queerness can be expressed freely.
What kind of works can be submitted?
Basically, any works that feature the relationship between Solas and the Inquisitor as long as either Solas or the Inquisitor (or both) are represented as explicitly queer in any way or manner. This includes, for example, M/M readings of the ship, F/F (Lesbian Solas is more than welcome), any flavor of NB/NB, M/F in which either Solas or the Inquisitor are bi, pan, aro-ace... Non-binary characters that use binary pronouns are welcome, just make sure that their identity is expressed in another way in the work.
AUs in which Adaar/Cadash/Lavellan/Trevelyan didn’t become the Inquisitor are accepted, as well as Inquisitor OCs that aren’t Adaar/Cadash/Lavellan/Trevelyan.
AUs in which a pre-established canon character becomes the Inquisitor and romances Solas are allowed as long as said character goes generally through the same basic story beats as the canon Inquisitor.
Poly ships are included as long as both Solas and the Inquisitor are included (ie. Solas/Lavellan/Original Character; Trevelyan/Solas/The Iron Bull/Dorian…).
Both romantic and queerplatonic interpretations of the ship are welcome.
All mediums are welcome: fanfic, fanart, video edits, original music, headcanons and meta, textile arts, plastic arts, cosplay…
Sexually explicit content / dead dove / other kinds of sensitive content are welcome as long as they have the necessary content warnings.
Although we wish to promote the creation of new works, if you have a work that you haven’t posted online previously that fits the bill, feel free to recycle it. Also, if you have a work you have already posted that fits the day's prompts and the guidelines, you can tag it with the event’s tag and we’ll be happy to reblog it.
The prompts will be there for inspiration, you don’t need to follow them too closely and you can mix and match them in any way you want. If you are interested in a specific prompt but you miss the suggested day, feel free to post it another day.
No AI whatsoever. If AI is detected, we will remove the work from the blog and the AO3 collection.
Hate speech and bigoted content: any content supporting racism, white supremacy, ableism, antisemitism, zionism, and of course homophobia, transphobia, acephobia or any other form of queerphobia will not be accepted.
To reiterate, we want this event to be free of gatekeeping and inclusive of all forms of queerness. If anyone is caught starting “is X identity really queer?” or “X character could never be queer” discourse in the vicinity of the event, they will be blocked.
The collection will be open and you will be able to add your works on the go. The same content rules apply.
We’ll share the link to the collection at the start of the event.
