Hmm...
I'd say it began with my (once much stronger) fascination for the unknown and alien. One day, I picked up a couple pieces of classic literature due to their connection to the supernatural.
That being said, I think I really got into it around middle school. Literature...helped me through some of the tougher parts of my life in some ways.
