The theft of French royal jewels from the Louvre has reignited fascination with jewelry from the Napoleonic era - like this tiara, worn by Napoleon Bonaparte's sister Caroline, Queen of Naples.   A reproduction of this tiara was most recently seen in the 2010 fourth season of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒖𝒅𝒐𝒓𝒔 — on both Joely Richardson as Kathryn Parr, as well as Tamzin Merchant as Katherine Howard.   Before that, it appeared in the 1984 production of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑫𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒊𝒊 on Marilù Tolo as Xenia.   We believe this tiara likely originated in an earlier, unknown Napoleonic-themed production, for which it may have been custom-made.
