I am a 29-year-old autistic non-binary femme (they/them). I took leave from work in May to provide PCA care for my fiance. In the midst of all kinds of medical adventures & eventual loss* of resources (no income/insurance/outside support because misogynoir and ableism) we have been DIY-ing this whole journey from surviving to thriving for the past few months. Patreon is a vehicle of independence which allows me to provide said care for my family while having absolute control of distributing my art.

Survival Art? Survival art means exactly what one might think: utilizing various mediums to discuss the journey of healing from abuse. Creating art is my way through.

The Motivation:

My horse, the animal who has been a therapeutic life-saving companion and kept me alive thru being my absolute rock when I had no other reason to be here. I am taking over her board, and where as I already manage her extra care, and her vet fees are taken care of, it's the board itself that takes precedence in both cost and immediate need. Board is just over 5k (USD) a year, and my current goal is to get at least 3,000 of that and take care of the rest as I can. I'm sourcing a lot of different ways to reach my ultimate goal, and this (asking for donations, offering discounted commissions) is one of the ways in which I'm earning and bringing in income for her board.

A loose sketch of a subject of your choice. This means a character (animal or human) and their accompanying wardrobe or tack, if applicable, and a minimal background to serve as a color theme.
