I have to admit that the legendary Gulai Tikungan 'Gultik' of Jakarta does tastes good and fortunately quite affordable for a portion. It was also located in a reachable place in the junctions sidewalk of Blok M district in Southern Jakarta. You might confused a bit if you're a first-timer of Gultik seeker because instead of finding a single big food stall, you will either find bunch of food stands of Gultik all around the streets.

Unfortunately, I couldn't even stand a single round without ordering another three portions of it because frankly, Gultik's single portion equals to my one-third portion of meal (yes im a big eater). They also do have some good satays for additional menu (egg satay & chicken skin). Pro tip: you have to hold back your appetite of not grabbing as many satay as possible if you don't want your bill to hit the high.

I came there twice and Ichsan accompanied me for the second time. We got Es Podeng (might as well Pudding but it was twisted into Javanese pronouncing lmao) as our dessert. I have known Es Podeng in my hometown but we called it as Es Puter 🍧
