Net neutrality won big on Thursday when the Federal Communications Commission voted to enact strict regulations on Internet service providers. Naturally, Saturday Night Live chimed in on Sunday with a sketch that breaks net neutrality down for the masses

What a day the Internet had yesterday. First we watched llamas on the loose. Then, just after 6 p.m., BuzzFeed posted what might be its single most-shared article ever: “What Colors Are This Dress.”

If you’re unaware—which is impossible, unless you live in a cave—the story pointed to a Tumblr discussion about the color of a dress. Welp, the Internet exploded—and so did the brands, which swarmed the topic like flies.

LG has launched the Smart Bulb in Korea, a light bulb that connects with Android and iOS devices, providing several interesting features

The 10W LED bulb will let you control lighting in the house with a smartphone, and it can also flash-alert when you get a phone call.

Other features include a security mode which makes it look like you’re at home when you’re away, as well as pulsating to the tune of music (but only on Android devices)

The bulbs should run for more than 10 years, provided you use them five hours a day, LG claims

VANCOUVER, Canada — NSA Deputy Director Rich Ledgett on Thursday talked about Edward Snowden in a video conference at TED. His last-minute appearance comes just two days after Snowden told the same TED crowd that the biggest revelations are yet to come out of the estimated 1.7 million NSA documents he leaked to journalists because he said it was duty as an American citizen.

However, Ledgett disagrees, saying there were other actions Snowden could have taken

“He had alternatives,” Ledgett said. “Characterizing him as a whistleblower actually hurts legitimate whistleblowing activities.”

Snowden exposed controversial NSA programs like PRISM, but he said that’s just the beginning. When Snowden spoke on Tuesday, he said there is still a lot of reporting to be done, including diving deeper into the accusation that the NSA tricks companies into building backdoors into their systems that make data vulnerable to hackers across the world. …
