Just saw GRRM's old drafts for AFFC and Sansa's arc in the book before some of her chapters were pushed to TWOW was supposed to be about her "resolve to be Sansa Stark (after her stint as Alayne in the Vale and after receiving some news from White Harbour) and take the North"
What if Bran declares Rickon as his heir (and continue the line through this children etc) and that’s why Sansa is the qitn and not the regent, with Arya as her heir (till she has children)? Like, does that work?
She's finally finished!!! QITN Sansa Stark from my fic 'Winter's Child'. PLEASE full view- there are so many details on this thing. I drew all the patterns by hand, drew SO much ice, and spent like, three whole days designing the throne.
Is she too detailed? Probably. But I was having fun drawing 8 million different kinds of ice/frost and learning how to use procreate. Whether Sansa painstakingly embroiders ice motifs on her clothing or just magics up frost to decorate her sleeves in painstaking detail is up to interpretation. She's SUPER ice queen here to show the northern lords and any pesky invaders that she's every inch a Stark and that she Means Business.
Bonus: Throne Details! They get kind of covered up by the frost and her robes, but I spent so much time designing her throne and I'm wildly happy with how it came out, so have some close-ups!
The top part I wanted to have the wolves on either side fading into weirwood leaves and vines (which was harder than it sounds), and her armrests have a stylized weirwood tree carved into them. There was going to be a tiny raven sitting on the tree in that space between branches, but I've gotta sleep at some point, tbh. Took forever, but was totally worth it- I love how both designs came out, and I think her throne is my favorite thing about the entire drawing.

Updated Sansa Stark as QITN from my fic 'Winter's Child'. This is my first time using procreate but I think I'm getting the hang of it???
(Anyways idk when I'll be able to work on this more- I borrowed my dad's ipad to try it out because i don't have a tablet lmaooooo)

As much as I love Jonsa (I will go DOWN with this ship!), I’m so, so glad we got to see Sansa as the Queen in the North. If this is where we’re at when the books end, with or without Jon at her side, I will be a happy woman.
It goes without saying that a Jonsa ending would put me over the moon.
