a hummingbird laugh floats from the lips of the princess. head tilted back slightly to feel the warm rays of the sun on her cheeks. it's her favourite kind of day; sun high above with not a cloud in the sky. warm enough to not need a cloak, but not so much that sweat forms. all the flowers in bloom bringing sweet scents to the palace gardens. the perfect day for a picnic! the basket filled with all sorts of treats ( sandwiches, cakes, and pastries ) swings from one hand, the other occasionally bumping against @qiallos', bringing a dusting of pink to rapunzel's cheek.
❝ well, i supposed bringing back the lost princess doees make for a good first impression! ❞ she bumps her shoulder against eugene's, a slight skip to her step. momentarily a crease appears on her brow as a thought crosses her mind. ❝ or second impression, maybe? you did steal from them. ❞ though her parents don't seem to have minded too much, since that act of thievery had brought their daughter back home. finally they reach their destination; rapunzel's favourite spot in the garden. a gazebo covered in overgrown vines and leaves, surrounded by flowerbeds with petals of many colours. rapunzel drops the basket, pulling eugene by the hand as she, quite on purpose, tumbles to the ground. blades of grass tickle the now exposed skin on her shoulders and neck, just underneath her short brown hair. head turns, cheek pressed to the ground, so she can look at her companion. ❝ i never thanked you, eugene - for bringing me home. ❞
