was the embodiment of light.

She was adventurous and insatiable,

she had a hunger for life.

She loved life;

she loved fiercely and passionately,

and with an intensity like gravity-

She loved obsessively.

And she consumed all that she loved.

Your mother was the saddest person she knew.

And instead of sex, drugs, alcohol, or any other number of addictions,

she treated her affliction with poetry.

Writing pulled the knife out of her heart.

It helped ease the pain,

but the more she Wrote, the more she bled.

Your mother wrote her pain and sadness…

Into life, into light.
