It’s been a really interesting and different semester. It’s been one of my least academically stressful semesters so far, which means I’ve had a lot more free time to work with. In the past, I might have spent this time watching or playing video games, browsing the internet, and generally just hermiting in my room all the time. I’ve come to realize, though, that there are probably much better ways to spend my time - in particular, doing things with other people as a way to show them that I care about them and that I enjoy their presence.

I’ve been to more classical music concerts in the past 4 months than in the past 10 years or so. I went to a rock concert on a Wednesday night (and missed part of JN rehearsal for it. lol). I probably went to more Friday night board game nights than in my previous 5 semesters combined, even though i’m not a particularly huge fan of board games. I’ve taken more long late-night walks with people than I have probably in my whole life. I’ve talked to more YFers than I have in my entire time at PCC. And that’s just starting to scratch the surface of all the ways my lifestyle has changed this past semester.
