czeslaw

if you dont lock in on any of the other route you get put onto czeslaw by default and hes the antagonist of most other routes (not including the love interests themselves). czeslaw is a repressed gay man, he has a history of sexually assaulting pyro when they were in high school both as a bullying thing and as a way to prove his heterosexuality. they split up after high school and when they meet again at the golf club, pyro has transitioned. when czeslaw realizes its him, he continues to sexually assault him. pyro is czeslaws caddy, and is forced to take the brunt of czeslaws anger. czeslaws route deals with a lot of themes of perversions of romance. there are a lot of scenes that could be romantic (walking pyro home, going to lovers point, etc) that get used as set dressing for sexual assaults. czeslaw has a genuine crush on pyro but relies so heavily on violence to mask it (both from others and himself) that its inextricable from their relationship. the bad end of this route is czeslaw successfully coercing pyro to into detransitioning and being in a relationship with him, making pyro an abused wife and mother who kills himself as the credits roll

scott

scott is golf aus monika. hes the richest and most powerful person in town, as his family badically built golfhurst themselves. hes constantly spying on pyro, either over his network of security cameras or through his binoculars. before you lock into his route, he is stalking pyro voyeurstyle, he wants to know pyro completely and wants pyro to only pay attention to him in turn. the route lock in is scott having czeslaw arrested, eliminating the only person who is really taking pyros attention from him. mechanically, scott takes your agency as a player away from you by forcing you to choose the dialogue options he approves of. in the early scott route you still get options, but have to repeat the dialogue tree until you choose the "correct" one, training the player to start answering to satisfy him, and by the end of the route hes removing the dialogue trees entirely, giving you only one choice.

legs

we actually just nailed the legs route down recently after a whole not of nothing which is great. the legs route involves him witnessing the way pyro is being abused by czeslaw and scott and deciding to save him #hissaviorcomplex, hes trying to do right by him by protecting him but he cant help but take advantage of pyros vulnerable situation and then self flaggelates like hell about it. pyro sees legs as his savior and protector and thinks hes in love, and legs *knows* its just because hes the only man who treats pyro well, but when pyro kisses him or initiates sex he cant help himself. the thing about legs route is that you have to toe the line of reassuring him that you *do* want to be with him (alleviating his guilt) without being *too* eager (makes him feel guilty)

owen

owen is the groundskeeper at the club. pyro accidentally kills czeslaw, and owen helps him cover it up. they become codependant and in a kinda blackmaily relationship, where pyro cant leave because owen knows his secret. the dynamic is loosely inspired by crau lumberjack

abolish

abolishes route is still about vampires. hes the only route where vampires are acknowledged or addressed in any way, and none of the other characters know about vampires. pyro is attacked and turned and the abolish route is realll stockholm syndromey because he keeps pyro locked up during his investigation into the vampire that turned him.
