We do a few boat trips a year to the far west side of the lake to spend hours playing at #pyramidrock in #goosenestcove before heading up to #lakeshoreinnandmarina . Have you ever been? Our son used to say it felt like we were in a Jurassic Park theme park the minute we entered the cove with all the huge chunks of broken rock bluff shoreline emerging from the lake like little mountainous rock islands. It’s fun to go several times a year to see it in various water levels to watch the rocks “grow” as they appear larger the further the water goes down. Our recent ride to the northwest side to visit #goosenestcove while the water is down exposed a lot of the base of #pyramidrock making it appear even more massive towering over our boat. This will always be a favorite family spot well worth the day long drive from Rock Creek. Our son didn’t jump from it this day, but we hope to go back soon. We’ll take our favorite @slingshotwake inflatable SUPs (and likely wetsuits too) to explore even better. Fall is a favorite time for long lazy boat rides not having as much of the often stop/start trek that watersports require. On the northwest side this is a favorite picnic & fishing spot in #goosenestcove . Best when the water is down exposing these particular gorgeous rocks on the right before you get to the larger #pyramidrock - we call this mini cove #pyramidcove .
