"Hitsi mikä pitsihääpäivä, näin se tuhlattiin,
Suuret unelmat, ne saippuakuplat,
Vaan satuttava sanavarastomme niillä tuplattiin"
Going Merry Holidays 2024 (day 16): Remind me Dear (Sanji)
As you can see there is a similarit in this video compared to
Reason I wanted to quote in both videos the very first lines was that it would demonstrate more that this is supposed to be the same story as in Remind me Dear (Nami) but this time it's from Sanji's perspective.
So, in Sanji's video the original song is used whereas Nami has the cover one but it was actually her version that inspired me to try to make another one with Sanji. The translated lyrics can be found from the original post.
Compared to Nami's song, Sanji's version is much more melancholic but I think it kind of fits Sanji better because I could imagine that if Sanji and Nami would eventually get married and then end into a bigger arguments, he would actually be the one having more spiraling thoughts and instead of blaming Nami, Sanji would probably just blame himself and try to find reasons why they are even fighting and hoping that he wouldn't repeat the past (hurt Nami so deeply like he did back in chapter 844 when she had to give an emotional slap because she was so angry and disappointed).
The whole Sanji vs Luffy fight must've been haunting him the whole time but he probably tried to push the feelings away because of the tea ceremony (which he though would be kind of a key for the freedom, at least his mates would be unharmed) but once the tables turn and Sanji realizes it was all a scheme he truly starts to process the whole thing again.
Like written before, Anna Abreu's cover has pretty much the same idea even when it comes down to the lyrics and the reason why I used same clips in some parts of the videos trying to create some sort of "parallel". The only noticeable difference in details is that in Nami's version they sing about Bronze wedding anniversary (8th ) whereas in Sanji's version it's Lace (13th) but it doesn't affect the story told in those videos ;)
