I have a working PXE boot server running on CentOS 5.5 that works perfectly for any flavor of Linux. Iām trying to add FreeBSD to the install options as a ISO memdisk, but so far nothing is working out. When I try to boot, I get the following:

My organization is about to implement 802.1X on our enterprise, but we currently use PXE-based OS deployment sequences in SCCM. Iām looking for a way to continue using PXE in an 802.1X environment. In the past Iāve setup a PXE server several times by making the normal dhcp server return everything needed for network booting: both the regular ip config AND bootinfo in a single dhcp setup. That way it is easy to do.

Some years ago in my uni days I recall that the uni labs booted windows nt over the network. There was a shared drive for your own stuff, and other than that any changes you did to the running OS were reset when you restarted the machine.
