[1:25a.m.] “Yeah! All he ever did was play on his phone and party!” Jisung scoffed at your words through the phone. “Your ex sounds like a real dumbass.” You rolled your eyes in agreement. “I know. It’s whatever now though, he’s in the past.” You hummed. The line faded into an awkward silence, causing you to grow a little flustered. Jisung cleared his throat on the other side. “So then... what about now?” You blinked, confused. “What?” Jisung scratched the back of his neck. He was nervous and thankful that you couldn’t see him through the phone. Rolling onto a more comfortable position on his bed, he spoke up. “I mean like... are you in another relationship right now?”A flush took over your cheeks as a bashful smile tugged at the corner of your lips. “No... I’m single...” Jisung’s heart skipped a beat. “Really? I thought you would have a boyfriend, for sure!” You could hear the smile on his lips. “Nope...” you brought a hand up to your cheek to contain the smile taking over your face. “I guess I’m just waiting...” Jisung just about passed out at that moment. Could you be talking about him? Could you be waiting for him? He flipped onto his stomach, the bed sheets below him twisting up. “Yeah?” You sat up in your bed to criss-cross your legs. “Yeah... but, what about you..? Your girlfriend..?” Jisung had to take his phone away from his face to keep you from hearing him freak out. “Nope! I don’t have one either.” You quickly grabbed one of the pillows laying next to you and squeezed it to contain yourself. “No way! You’re messing with me!” “Thats what I thought you were doing!” You both giggled together with pink cheeks, staying on the phone until you each fell asleep to the sound of eachother’s slowed breathing.
