I just looked at a merch print and thought that kinda looks like what I’ve been drawing. Then I remembered we were trained to design and print a shit ton of merch stuff for college… since I went there for game concept art, and was told the players needed pretty things to keep them hooked on the game, and merch is what usually draws in more audience because they can see a physical item someone carries around and get curious about it.
I’m too lazy to go on the school’s webpage to retrieve the photos, here’s all that I have on my phone ᐠ( ᐛ )ᐟ they’re from last year.
I had to make all these in only half a year? so I wasn’t really satisfied with the quality. It’s still on my mind at least once a month though.
I opened that old project file specifically because I wanted to sketch a character I haven’t, but then I saw the old drafts and I went “nope. you need a complete rework. and you need your colours fixed.” And that’s how I ended up spending like 5 hours just tweaking my designs. Really unrewarding work.
It’s always faster to scrap and redraw than fixing something past me has made.
Spent some a few hours working on my pet project to destress.
Reworked some old character designs that I left off since January I think. Old stuff on the left, new stuff on the right.
I wanted to make him a little darker but idk if I pulled it off well enough.
Whenever I'm about to post things I just feel the need to vigorously edit it. None of this is ever final because of that.
Orz I finally finished what took me like 3 days (in actuality I was spending time with many mini projects to destress....)
This is something I was requested to draw: an outfit for my female protagonist. Because they wanted to see her merchandise potential I guess. I like her normal outift better though, but I haven't coloured it. Ah speaking of which, the reason why I took so long was because I had to line and colour properly instead of just sketching. I guess I should say only three days is kind of fast... for my unpaid labour.

Rambling about my other project:
It’s basically my childhood fantasy. Gayest straight couple to deceive everyone around me that this is heteronormative. It’s full of royal family drama that’s as weird as it gets. Real ones can read between the lines but it’s just straight passing enough that my conservative parents and the average person won’t be able to pick up the queer tension.
I’ll make a new tag for this project if anyone’s interested. So far I got like 4 projects… not counting things that are way further back in my head. This project is where I dump most of time into before I started the Dream Tram. I made a massive world to put all my OCs in, that takes inspiration from real life culture and stuff so I spent a lot of time just looking at research material instead of doing any drawing.
I presented it for my college graduation project, but most of that ended up expired by now because it’s still not cool enough for me. So I’m working on it part time to one day make it my own IP.
