When I was in 7th and 8th grade, I used to be a puppeteer for my school's church club. Like, we always did religious themed stuff and I used to sit there bored cause I wanted to do stuff like Sesame Street and I ended up quitting. But now, I wish I kept doing puppet stuff cause I want to make skits like Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.
Lily the Parasaurolophus Dinosaur - Chiodo Bros. & Santa Barbara Zoo!
Charlie Chiodo: [CG filmmakers] are trying to get the audience to immerse themselves in a motion picture by bringing the images off the screen. But in a live experience, the people are immersed in the experience. You can't deny it.
Edward Chiodo: It's even gone one step further than that. Typically, we've all been seen walking around Disneyland with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto; all those guys. And it's a photo op - you take a picture. But now, we're starting to tell stories with these characters, so we're upping the entertainment value of that live experience. It's not going to see a cool character and have your picture taken with him, now they're telling stories, interactive things.
Stephen Chiodo: Well yeah, like at Universal City Japan. The story of those dinosaurs being in the park was that they escaped from the ride, so they had to get them back in the pen. So it was a funny little storyline of the baby running around and the mom kind of going after her, trying to coral the baby back in the pen. And the audience - the crowd - had to help the park get their dinosaurs back in their pen.
