A few weirdly excitedly knocks sounded throughout the apartment Wilde had recently moved into. That was normal though, people often walked into the building intoxicated and knocked on random doors before bolting off(if you were lucky, which is not at all common in Gotham.)
A few moments passed, three more intentional and paced knocks sounded, at the door.
“Uhm… Hi! It’s Julius?” came a familiar voice that was muffled by the barrier between Wilde and the newcomer. “I brought gifts? I heard that that’s a common thing to do in cities outside of Gotham! So I thought to bring you some?” he sounded weird and nervous yet well-meaning.
Definitely the Julius Finch guy.
“Hello? I can leave it at the door maybe? If that’s what you want?”

Julius. Wilde almost forgot about him. which was… mean, probably. he wasn’t expecting visitors— usually, visitors mean nothing good— but Julius seems nice, and he wouldn’t mind company right now.
so he stands. limps over to the door, swings it open as Julius is looking nervously over his shoulder. he realizes belatedly he’s not wearing his mask, and Julius can see his creepy gorey mess of a face, but he doesn’t care much. nobody here knows who he is.
“hi,” he says kindly, even as it makes Julius jump. “i’m sorry, i wasn’t expecting you. do you want to come in?”
that’s probably the nice thing to do. and he needs friends. Julius, even with his creepy smile and erratic movements, doesn’t seem like the worst choice.
