Punk had always been a light sleeper. He couldn’t ever remember being any other way. It usually was a curse. It caused too many sleepless nights and left him irritable in the mornings. Sometimes though, it worked in his favor. It always came in handy when Chris chose to go out and drink with his buddies. It wasn’t a decision Punk minded by any means. Unlike his on-screen persona at times, he never pushed his straight edge beliefs on anyone. But sometimes Chris got out of control and he did some dumb shit when he came home piss drunk. This was going to be one of those times. A crash sounded from downstairs and Chris’s muffled voice followed it. Punk groaned. He was almost afraid to get up and see what had happened. He had to though. If he didn’t there was no telling what Chris would destroy this time.

He threw the covers off and rolled out of bed. He walked out of the bedroom and went downstairs, boxers hanging low on his hips and one sock missing completely. He found Chris at the kitchen, tugging at the faucet on the sink like a mad man. His blond hair was disheveled, his eyes bloodshot and clothes just reeking of booze. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”

Chris gave him a half lidded drunken glare. “Fixing it.”

Punk blinked. “What?”

“Fixing it!” Chris yanked on the faucet some more. “It’s broken.”

“It’s not broken you idiot.”

“Water won’t come out.”

“You have to turn the knobs Chris.” Punk walked over and forcibly pulled the older man away from the sink. “Trust me, it works just fine.”

“Oh.” Chris now just blinked at him stupidly. “You sure?”

“I’m sure.” Punk grabbed the older man’s hand and started dragging him towards the stairs. “Come on. Come sleep this shit off.”

“M’not tired.”

“Then come lay with me. Just don’t fucking play plumber.”

Chris laughed and drunkenly tried to grope Punk through his boxers. “Can I fix your leaky pipe?”
