Have these two pumpkins for your Halloween!

I’ll admit that I had been in a bit of an art depression; November had little to no drawing from what I can recall, given that I was totally hooked on a friend’s game at the time. December didn’t pick up the pace much, either, and in January I had mostly just the doodles here.

This took a bit more than an hour and a half to be completed; my first hour was spent entirely on drawing Marilyn. I think this drawing may be a good reference for future ones in regards to time to complete. That aside, it does feel nice to draw again! The past week had little drawing on my behalf, but I set aside the time today to draw this! I made a sketch for it last night.

I did want her to have a more grand entrance for this month. This is one of my largest drawing in years. It may as well be the largest drawing posted to this blog yet. I received a new sketchpad last year which is quite large, and so I have figured it can be good for drawings like this. This was my first drawing for it! I have also been wanting to apply myself more in drawing as well. I do think this was a good project for that. I took my time with this, and I did enjoy that time!

I hadn’t been in a great mood this month, and for that I had been inactive artwise. Nonetheless, I did gather up the willpower to work on this after enough procrastination, and I did finish it on Christmas Day!

Anyway, here’s a pic of Lily and Marilyn about to enjoy some pie. Marilyn’s baked a good amount already!

After a few days and nights of not drawing pumpkins, I have shown that I’m back to drawing pumpkins. Heck, even with the incoming conclusion of October I’ll still be drawing pumpkins for a while.

Here’s a couple more pumpkin sketches for tonight, these focusing on Lily being rather gluttonous. In the former, she eats key lime pie with excessive whipped cream, much to Brittany’s puzzlement. In the latter, she has been caught eating candy meant for the trick-or-treaters. At least they should have plenty more from where that came from.
