An invading pumpkin plant dominates a part of our garden, covering all other plants with its enormous leaves. So happy to have 2 more healthy pumpkin fruits after the first 2 perished in the heat. I increased the amount of water I give the plant which seems to have cracked the problem (water once a day). Also the mildew spots seem to have died down after a bit of yellow leaf shedding/removing. Have been reading up on pumpkin growing today and hadn't realised they need turning at some point to encourage a good shape. I wonder if they do this on farms? Have your grown pumpkins before? Was greeted by this my 2nd pumpkin flower on my morning walk with Moet. I'd missed the first one flowering as didn't get outside until the evening. They must flower for a very short time! Very excited to be growing pumpkins.
