Puk puk is the sound made when you are patting someone to comfort them. There's one scene in this show that I replayed a lot and it's the one before this patting scene! It's when after Hiroto told Lion that his mother might still be alive and then they both looked at each other and then Lion suddenly attacks Hiroto while roaring cutely and Hiroto falls on his back huhu so cute...
