So I did the illustration for a friend's wedding favour boxes. It was a simple line illustration of her in Indonesian (Javanese) traditional clothing and her husband in Indian traditional clothing, but like with no faces. And now that I'm practicing drawing portraits, I decided to redraw them!

I went out of the cinema with my happiness boosted after watching Na Willa! And so here it is from top to bottom, left to right: Bud, Orange Cruz, Ayam Kuning Kecil Sekali (Very Small Yellow Chick, it's the name of the tiny baby chicken), N-number eyed milkfish, Farida, Dul, the blue window from the official poster with "Aku mau besok, besok, besoknya lagi begini terus!" written on it, bananaaas, Dul's prosthetic leg moving to the rhythm, and of course, Na Willa.

I did this for a DTIYS challenge on instagram by @/_m_i_e_m_i_e_m_i_e_. At first I imagined a queen on a stamp but then one day I started to see that girl from the Orphan movie lol. And anyways, I'm in my drawing-girls-as-practice era, so, yeah.

Was practicing drawing people with faces and used Zhang Ruonan as the model and then ended up making this Wen Yifan bio scrapbook thing! There's her photo, the couple bracelet Sang Yan version, Dian dian's polaroid photo, a receipt from Beiyu Nostalgic Noodle (I just made this all up lol especially the price), ballet shoes, Sang Yan's hand drawn butterfly temporary tattoo, her work ID, and snow flake stickers.

I was practically sold just with this one dramatic scene with tears and fireworks hahaha. And do not forget the pause between each word, okay?

The part with "When we want a breeze, I'll blow you a kiss or two" is cute too, but I got no idea what to draw..

I finalllllly watched this gem! After failing the ticket war miserably at JAFF and then not being available on the klikfilm matinee first screening, yay. That day was funny though: I came to watch alone, sporting a huge headache, but interacted with a lot of people; from looking for the way to reach the cinema with this big group of people, telling a mother where to get the info and buy the tickets, and even accompanied this girl who didn't want to meet her ex out of the studio.

and grilled corn! I don't know, but grilled corn's like a new year's 101 over here even though I don't really eat them anymore on new year's eve.

So this is a Sumatran Elephant taking pics for all the bad greedy humans who just can't effin share this earth nicely and then a Sumatran Rhinoceros crashed in the photo session.

So I started drawing cute animals for a client job, which didn't come through btw, i guess lol. But after staring at all the cute references that the other awesome illustrators put up on the net for days, I decided to practice my own drawings of cute chibi personified animals! In this winter vacation theme, there are: the fox and the droopy eared rabbit wearing one long red scarf, inspired by High Kick sitcom haha; the otter making a snow angel, but can't bear to let go of its stone, hence no-wings-snow-angel; the penguin who turned out to be a not really a cold weather loving animal; the stylish deer with its doppelganger; and the elephant role-playing as a dung beetle, or maybe, on its way to a snowball fight.

I loved this movie so much as a kid, like I crowned it my favourite movie ever back then along with a movie about three high school guys/nerds(?) making their year's graduation movie, iykyk lol. If you're wondering, this movie's title is Janji Joni, or Joni's Promise in english, and the other one is Catatan Akhir Sekolah, don't know the english title though haha. Both got killer soundtracks too!
