Sharing the circular sock machine drawstring named lunch bag made using my 120 needle slot gorgeous @chambordcsm Legare cylinder. This allows me to easily temporarily store any lunch item in the busy work fridge while also having my name on it. This is reusable, saves me time and allows me not to have to use the ugly stick on labels. This bag at this knitted gauge and tension setting easily fits the rectangular IKEA glass food containers. Testing my new 120 needle slot gorgeous @chambordcsm Legare cylinder and casting on with my universal cast on bonnet as if this were a 60 slot cylinder. ;) Once started I then freed a needle in each pair so that all stitches would knit. ;) Done. Five more pairs of finished cuff down ribbed socks, washed and hanging to dry for later sizing and gauge noting. Personally I find the knitted socks have a nicer feel and better final size when washed/dried before they leave me. An easy start to your metal CSM education is to see the CSM Start page on my website under the CSM LEARNING menu. https://www.csmlove.com/csm-start Learn about the two basic machine styles with their different ways of moving the cylinder needles using CAMS and the adjustment of stitch sizes with their different tension dials. Personally I prefer the closed CAM, not just because you can go in reverse without having to lift needles but because the tension dial on a open CAM is one where the knob can be turned tighter or looser than the machine can be knit (by design) thus I find the closed CAM easier to manage for machine setting. But that’s just my preference. See the info. Educate yourself. You can do it.
