Another reason I’ve dedicated a website - www.csmlove.com to CSM Circular Sock Machine help. Reading a vintage machine manual means trying to decipher the unclear. This part I’m holding gets connected to the inside of the cylinder to help align the ribber dial by the ribber stop under the dial. In both manuals this part is shown upside down and the same part has two different names. The “Needle Cylinder Lever” (Legare manual) aka “Dial Adjuster” (Money Maker manual). Some of us just call it the ribber accessory part. Regardless to which CSM you have, to adjust yarn tension/stitch size with yarn cast on machine with dial alignment always at the same point - I always align to the 6 o’clock cylinder position. My Legare tension notes are number of full/half dial turns at this reference point from the gentle tightest point. This makes all future settings reproducible.
