...in a very shrewd bit of scheduling, World Snooker have managed once again to pick a week which gives them the ultimate and optimum chance of the smallest possible crowds. Most Irish people will be descending on Cheltenham for the races this week and the ones who are left on the Emerald Isle will be legless and propping up a bar somewhere with a silly green hat on, singing songs about people called Maggie or Seamus and celebrating St Patrick’s Day.
