8th Generation Gaming (2012- Present) Sony Playstation 4 (Ps4)
The Playstation 4 is a game console for home entertainment which was produced by Sony Computer Entertainment and it is the fourth console from the Playstation Franchise, this is the latest console yet. The Playstation 4 was released on 15th November 2013 in North America and 29th November 2013 in Australia and Europe. Till now the Playstation 4 has sold over 22 million units. (Wikipedia, n.d.)The Playstation 4 competes with the Microsoft Xbox One and Nintendo Wii U. The only version available right now is the 500GB version, in the future there might be newer versions with more storage spaces. The console was sold for $399.99 / €399. This Playstation does not support direct backward compatibility but one can play games from older consoles by using the Playstation Now which is a cloud based system. This console uses the Blu-ray Disc and DvD just like its Predecessor the Playstation 3. (Wikipedia, n.d.)The top selling Playstation 4 is currently unknown but I personally think that Gta 5 will be soon. The DualShock 4 was the first controller from the DualShocks that had been majorly redesigned. The "Select" and "Start" button have merged into one "Options" button. This controller also features a multi touch pad, a 3.5mm headphone port and LED which changes colour depending the actions such as charging or playing in multiplayer mode. The Playstation 4 uses the DualShock 4. (Wikipedia, n.d.)

I like the Playstation 4 because it has very nice graphics and it makes the player more immersive to the game, The fact that they added the share button which allows us players to record or to create live-streaming videos makes this console very epic. I also enjoy the fact that via PSN+ we get some free new games monthly.
