The Mage: The Mage from Magicka is a student of the Order of Magick at Castle Aldrheim, specifically from the class of Vlad (who is totally not a vampire). The Mage can perform spells known by combining up to five elements, allowing for all sorts of effects. For example, Arcane plus Cold may create a freezing beam. The Mage can also combine the same element multiple times for a more powerful effect. There are also special spell combinations that go beyond the basic form of their components, called Magicks. These can do things like revive people, create thunderstorms, summon tornadoes, cause eruptions, and more! However, there are limits: the Mage cannot include two opposing elements in the same spell without them canceling out. There are also fused elements, such as Steam (water + fire), ice (water + cold), and Poison (water + arcane).
