OHH OKAY SO...i love overarching plots that have to do with political, military, social plots that take place over the course of years, over vast distances, with a variety of characters involved besides my partner and i's 'mains', where we mix our lore together and create a whole ass political-economical-militarial-social-epic. i *love* that kinda shit. there's a reason one of my favorite tropes is enemies to lovers, but specifically *political* enemies to lovers, people from differing and often at odds nations or cultures, or from a far off place. i love that kinda stuff because it gives something with a bit more....idk, impact, than just the typical interpersonal conflict we usually roleplay on tumblr. which i love, don't get me wrong, love interpersonal conflict. but when that interpersonal conflict is made worse/more complicated by wordly conflicts? sign me the fuck up.

basically i like political and wartime drama, i like court drama, i like scandalous love stories and forbidden love, i love how it allows you and your partner to flesh out so many aspects of the world in one plot. i like writing battle scenes, i actually find them easier to write than like, one on one action. its a lot easier to describe the motions and actions of a group of people acting as one cohesive group than trying to make the actions of one person sound cohesive and poetic on prose idk why that is. i also enjoy writing the many interconnected relationships among the characters, that no character in the story is a static entity just there to help the main two characters get forward in the plot, but actual involved npcs.

sae-byeok is glad for the way the cold winter’s wind has already bitten a pink color into her cheeks, appreciative of its sting on her skin just this once. she hopes that it hides the way her face heats up now at the comment so brazenly said by ji-yeong walking beside her, her friend occasionally grasping at sae-byeok’s arm to keep from slipping on the icy sidewalk. why does she always have to say such stupid things...?

horse plinko: izaya. i'm an adult now and every single thing that he says and does and thinks is hilariously pathetic and everything that happens to him makes me laugh.

this one is a bit easier then the rest. not because of any personal affections matthew potentially, maybe, holds for the producer ; but because he's learned to work around it. view it from an objective level. that's how he's been sneaking around these prodding inquiries, see? and he likes to think he's clever with his method of it. out of sight, out of mind. admitting to manny's physical pull is easier when it's off record.

“a lot of the company i keep is attractive, just, putting that out there! so im surprised people keep asking. manny's no exception ; he's like, rocking the makeup look. sparkly green really brings out those eyes.” mat smiles slyly, eyes squinting with his pronounced glee. clearly he thinks highly of his friends ; lighting up when he talks about them. “nice beard too, little jealous about it given my bare face, and, hah, the glossy lips are ... certainly something.”

tone shifts, words falling off near the end as his fingers fiddle around with his yellow tie. ah, he hadn't meant to ... impulsivity sparks around his mouth, effectively loosening it. why hold his cards so close to his chest when he's already slipped some, anyway? there wasn't anything wrong with complimenting someone in the group, or a friend for that matter, so the detective takes a deep breath. vaguely feeling as though the pressing weight against his chest would only lift if he was honest. former plan being abandoned a little too easily.

so he attempts again, voice significantly smaller. “but, you know, he's attractive personality wise too. he's a very loyal and polite guy, when he wants to be, a-anyway! uh, funny too ... he can make you laugh a lot! the kind of laugh that makes you feel, well, like you're weightless, so ...”

mud eyes nervously flutter around, eyebrows furrowed in thought. then he just sighs, “that record producer is the whole package. and i know i say that about a lot of people, but it goes double for him, really. seems like he'd be high quality boyfriend material! that's just a theory, though, hah.”

Vague eyes shifted around the room as his senses picked up on a spirit coming into the Hades cabin. Odd, usually ghosts were kept at bay by the Athena Parthenos force field as much as the monsters were. Sure, ghosts still found Nico in his dreams sometimes, but even then, it was less than when he was in the outside world. But somehow this ghost found him.

Setting down his Mythomagic cards in a small pile in front of him on the bed, his eyes continued to rove the room until they stopped in a particular corner. “It’s rude to barge in without...,” Nico began, pulling some power into his voice so the spirit would know it was being directly addressed before he stopped himself cold, voice dying in his throat.
