It's the first of the month [or it was], and that means Matt K from Yellow Green Red weighs in with some reviews, including G. GREEN's Our Boss 7"!         Almost Ready Records' follow-up to their all-star Volume 8 LP scales back to 7" and features two of Columbus, Ohio’s finest, the Cheater Slicks and Psandwich, plus Thee Spivs from the UK. The Slicks offer up another fine barroom weeper in “Silver Fox” which would’ve fit in nicely on their Forgive Thee album. On the flipside, Psandwich cover the Fun 4’s “Singing In The Shower” which is made even bouncier and poppier thanks largely to Ron House’s eternal man-child vocals, while Thee Spivs hyperventilate their way through a fine “Breathless”-rip called “Men Don’t Cry”.   Essential listening?  Eh...maybe, but it’s damned addictive.
