Episode 2 - the truth about the day we met
Some favorite moments of mine from the podcast:
1. The sheep graveyard story was funny.
2. Glad they hard launched spooky week.
3. Love the justification for the fist in the red carpet photos. Give us Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka on the red carpet.
4. After the first podcast video, I retract my earlier concern of whether people would do both the audio and the video.
Some things I didn’t like:
1. Once again the title was a short element of the entire 40 minutes - to me, they either do a little more with it or find an element they talk about more and use that as the title. An unfiltered story of how like what went inside their minds as they were two random boys connecting online and then meeting in person, what was the driving force to do that, etc...
2. I felt that this episode was a little more disorganized - I really feel like they should come up with a few things that work together in terms of theme, feel, time-period, etc... and create a chain of conversation.
3. I'm not a fan of the ending segment with the audience hard launches, sure they're entertaining, but once they come on I consider the podcast done.
4. Call me a prude, talking about what they would have sex with in the room is a little weird, on character maybe, but like very strange to me lol. Also the boob thing, weird.
Edits shall come after a second listen...
Edit 1 - concerned that the views for episode two are significantly lower than episode one. A general concern of mine for this rebrand is that the traction is lost so they're going to run out of things to say/do.
yeah. and?
I really need some young people to stop being so prudish & Puritanical. first, it's Sabrina Carpenter's album. next, it's people freaking out over Sydney Sweeney. and it's already bad enough people think there should be no sexyness at Pride. All this self censoring, wanting there to be no nudity in art, and being uncomfortable with other people wanting to be desired is gross and will lead us into the dark ages.
I'm saying this as a woman who has been celibate for about 3 or 4 years now.
there are levels to this and not every time a woman is sexy or risqué is doing it for the male gaze. both of these women kinda subvert that anyways.

In the original photo, the guy above extended his arm, holding on to the guy below. But Tumblr thought he was holding on to a 24 inch long penis. They denied my appeal so I had to censor it.
Freud was famous for seeing penises where they were no penises. So he seemed like a good way to get past Tumblr’s prudish censors.
