Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,814: 3PO Protocol Droid (Blue, Droid Factory) http://figureoftheday.blogspot.com/2021/05/star-wars-figure-of-day-day-2814-3po.html
The penultimate chapter of REBEL Y/N? is up. The rebel infiltration of Yras Imperial Base is underway, and the at long last, the droid revolution has begun.
White armor flashed briefly in the corner of Cassian’s right eye, but he managed to suppress the instinct to swing his rifle right and kept his barrel aimed high. A moment later, black armor replaced white in his peripheral vision, Kay’s distinct form charging forward and plowing into the Stormtrooper. The trooper flew low through Cassian’s awareness, skidding across the increasingly slippery floor near his feet. He didn’t bother to track where the body landed, because he had just seen what he was watching for in the upper catwalks. A faint gleam of tempered steel, a tiny dark circle slipping gently from the shadows. If he hadn’t been looking up already, he couldn’t have reacted in time, but as it was - Cassian swung his rifle and fired over Jyn’s head. The glint of an Imperial sniper barrel vanished from the balcony, and Jyn tossed him a brief look over her shoulder without slowing down.
Cassian would feel relieved about it later. Right now he didn’t have the time.

And Suns Burn Bright Rejected Snippet Aka Don’t Let Maul Deal With Bureaucracy
A star courier class ship arrived at the Deko Neimoidia hyperdrive spaceport unannounced.
SHIP ID DEMANDED glowed bright on the display of the board computer. The young Zabrak pilot typed in the landing coordinates.
“Isk-Isk-Dorn-Five Scimitar,” he said aloud, his voice being registered by the computer. A minute later ID ACCEPTED, PROCEED appeared on the display.
The Scimitar was a fast ship. It descended through the stormy atmosphere with an effortless elegance on the public port. Rust-coloured mist shrouded the trading outpost. A brass-plated protocol droid was already waiting for him at the registration office, once he had finished the necessary procedures.
“My master expects you. Please, follow me.”
The levels of distancing amused the Zabrak. His contact agreed to meet him on a world he had fully under his control, in an unregistered house, and yet he hid away from any prying eyes. The droid led him through narrow streets. “Just a while more, Sir,” the droid kept saying but it was always more than a while. Just when he started to consider dismantling the droid with impromptu violence, the droid announced that they finally arrived.
The house was unremarkable. Grey, with rusty gates and screeching hinges. A Bothan guard stepped in.
“Your papers.”
His mind had the integrity of a wood stick. “What a mess,” the protocol droid said with the closest approximation of shock.
“You’re next,” the Zabrak said with a smile, “if you don’t lead me to your master immediately.”
The self-preservation programming in service droids was a marvellous feature
