Jokes aside, I want to talk about how good Liam is at twitter (most of the time). We already knew this, his twitter usage has been shaping his public perception since he got on it. What's more recent is his unprompted defense of Noel and Noel's reputation, but not by saying "leave Britney my brother alone!"

When people were trying to "cancel" Noel a few weeks ago (in quotes cause it went exactly nowhere) he got himself involved in the drama and then memed the shit out of the whole concept relentlessly for days. His stans followed his lead in making the whole thing a giant joke, taking the steam right out of it.

Today, instead of just quietly blocking an account that annoyed him, he replied to a fan complaining about OasisWorld that must have popped up in his feed (or he was searching Noel's name lmao) and made it into a collaborative effort. "Shall we block?" "Yes!" "DONE."

I believe he's extremely deliberate about the stan culture he cultivates. I don't mean that he spends a lot of time on it or that he's an evil genius or something, but he's got natural charisma and he's good at people, and those skills transfer to his persona online. Every time he announces he's blocked someone, he sends a warning to other fans to act right, whatever right is according to Liam. It forms a wall that separates the fans who want interaction with Liam, and the fans who want to cause trouble. Along with his occasional "I see everything" reminders, he keeps the community on their toes. I think this interaction sums it up pretty well:

Noel: I've got a bit of a headache, a bit of a lump—gathering over the eye, but. I could smoke about another seventy-five cigarettes and a couple of bottles of gin and I'll be sort of alright. I might go to sleep [huffs]—tonight. Jo: What happened? Noel: Well, it was a really good atmosphere and stuff like that, until sort of the middle of Bring It On Down and then I was doing the guitar solo and the—a guy just appeared—he's about two foot away from me. And I thought he was a stage diver. And—it's—[snaps fingers]—happened. Just like that. And then all of a sudden—he had this big ring on—and he just, like, smacked me in the—in the eye. Well, because of where we come from anyway, because we're just like young lads, it's like, when somebody does that, you don't think of being a pop star or being in a band or the people in the audience. You just want to retaliate. Liam: It's just like sticking up for yourselves, you know what I mean? Jo: When you went in—were you sticking up for him? Liam: Oh, yeah, exact. It went down. You can't do that. You're there to play your songs. Soon as someone gets onto the stage, then that's it. Then he gets it. Simple.

❄️ what’s your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best?

i reaaaaaaaaaally love fairy content. im always saying that, i'm sure that there are lots of posts of me asking for thiam in a fairy universe, i made moodboards—and im actually owning a version of theo as a fairy, cuz i only made one moodboard of liam and one of thiam—so i never shut up about this lol so much so that my beautiful @hemlocksandfoxgloves it's actually with one of those ideas in the works, which im forever thankful for cuz im obsessed!

i actually thought about a post-canon idea with fairies haunting beacon hills that it could be fun to write—so y'all can lmk if you're interested or want to know more of my ideas, but i trust, aside from my lovely kenzie, in @thiamsalpha @ashyjingles @fruchtfliege @6lytherinn @songbvrd and @mmoosen with that. i love their style of writing, their humor and creativity, so i believe they'll kill it with this.

i am also obsessed with bodyguard!liam, man, fuck me, but protective liam it's so important to me. im not even specifically talking about aus, tho, if you know me, you'll know i fucking love aus, but just to see liam going mad with the pack and fighting for theo's space in it it's enough for me going insane. i love protective theo, but i have a soft spot for protective/possessive liam that i can't explain lol
