February 9:
Upon this day in 1970, the soundtrack album to Antonioni's film, Zabriskie Point, was first issued.
The movie is considered one of the worst ever by a respected director, and is notable these days almost exclusively for the soundtrack, which includes some other people, but features previously unreleased work by Pink Floyd.
Today is the 30th anniversary of the release of Sarsippius' Ark, Infectious Grooves' secdond album.
Like with Blazing Saddles, it's a reasonable question to ask whether anything having to do with Sarsippius could get made these days.
On the 9th of February, 1994, MC Solaar issued Prose Combat, his second album.
It was only with third one that he started getting jiggy with the cardinal numbers.
On this date in 2000, the Lawrence, KS indie/post-rock outift Appleseed Cast released their album, Mare Vitalis.
