                                 THE GODS R U L E US STILL

     The Titans thought themselves untouchable. The Titans, the elder gods, divine rulers of the western world. Such has always been the way in the Kingdom of Norta. Standing among the ashes of those dilapidated dreams, those devastated lands once known as North America, the Silvers make a home in their capital city of Archeon. An unforgiving people, capable of terrible cruelty and breathtaking power, the Silvers have ruled over those of Red blood, people thought to have no natural powers, for over three hundred years. Silvers have always enjoyed a life of living in the very lap of luxury, the darkest and most brilliant throes of high society theirs for the taking – all the while allowing for the suffering of those who have never known anything but pain. They sit upon rotting thrones and call themselves divine.

             THEY HAVE COME DOWN FROM THE S T A R S

     The Titans thought themselves untouchable. Until they weren’t. The Olympians, too, slipped into hubris until they became a forgotten myth, their statues crumbling into dust. Power rises and power falls, but every king believes they are eternal. What happens when you aren’t? When gold turns to sand between your fingers, when liquid silver was always mercury (when it was poison), what do you do? When all else fails and you must stand on your own merit, who will you become?

                        AND THEY ARE NO LONGER K I N D

     Perhaps the gods of old now walk among us, to be worshiped and feared in the same aching breath. But all myths have their end. Gods do not die quietly; they raze cities in their wake, fell armies with a thought, pain and chaos and creation like ambrosia on their tongues. Their holy light so bright, so blinding; for who could kill a god? Nature, that greedy, hungry beast, has found the answer. For every burning deity, a new god was born. Younger, stronger, and somehow more alive. These young gods overflow with power, shaken and dizzy with a heat they don’t yet understand. But they will. With these new beings a new dawn will rise, and the sun bows to no one but them.

                                           Who can kill a god but the gods themselves?
