So, it's only the little part that has Joaquin objecting- till he looks, REALLY looks at the comment's source. "Uh..." And is struck by an odd sense of familiarity he can't quite place. "James, right? Sorry, uh, please-" Not wanting to make a complete ass out of himself, he's all warm, pearled smile now, gesturing to the empty chair in front of him.

“Hmm?”, Steve looked up from the sketchbook open in his lap, the one he had been pretending to work in for the last half hour, while Bucky had been sitting on the sofa opposite him, pouting about being told stop bothering him until he was done with his sketch. “Sorry, what were you saying?”, the laughter in his voice betrayed the mock distraction.

“You ...”, Bucky started as he finally caught onto the ruse. “You fuckin’ bastard were doing that on purpose.”

Steve grinned at him, put the pencil down, closed the sketchbook and very deliberately licked his lips, pulling the bottom one between his teeth.

Just how upset would they be if he were to partake of the already bottle half-empty bottle?  Surely Kurt could keep an eye out for the manor's newest resident just as well if sitting beside him, right? A certain white-haired weather witch would likely be very crossed to know he'd been sent up here in the first place as she'd asked everyone to give James space while settling in and let interactions happen organically, so perhaps he should drink because eventually she'd return from mission and find out he'd done the opposite.  

"Perhaps to most, but I am the last person who should comment on what is werid," the mutant said while stepping out of the shadows, his whole body suddenly emerging from the darkness into James's view whereas before only glowing yellow eyes had been visible.  "My apologies for staring." It was an interesting piece of tech, even Hank had expressed desire in an up-close viewing (knowing Hank that meant taking the whole thing apart which is probaly why Ororo threaten to singe his fur if he asked), but that is no excuse, slowly dropping to the tile next to the other man Kurt imagined Margail smacking the back of his curly head for the rudeness and silently swears to provied better company.
